Guru Nanak, according to Bhai Gurdas in Vaar1, pauree 17, is telling us about the supreme importance of the GURMUKHS, in attaining the knowledge about Wahiguru, without them, nothing, spiritually is possible.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝੁ ਨ ਬੁਝੀਐ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਧਰੇ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ।

Satigur Baajhu N Bujheeai Jicharu Dharay N Prabhu Avataaraa.

सतिगुर बाझु न बुझीऐ जिचरु धरे न प्रभु अवतारा ।

So long, God does not descend on earth in the form(incarnation) of true Guru (Gurmukh), no mystery can be understood.

This means, He always comes in a human form or incarnation....He can not, and can never be found in unconscious and lifeless things made of paper, stone, metal or wood, neither in animals nor plants ....

That is why, the Bani says: Aapaay Satgur, Aapaay Har ..... Aapaay mel milaveh. This means, the Gurmukh, the Sant Jan, the Satguru Himself is Wahiguru, and by His grace, He makes us merge in Him.

This has to be so, because we as a drop soul, of the inmense and infinite Ocean Satpurukh, is carried by the wave Satguru, Gurmukh, and merged in that Ocean Wahiguru, once and forever. The drop on the shore, without the wave, can never merge in the Ocean.... unless that Ocean, first comes to our level or shore(creation) as a wave , and pulls us with it´s force of Nam or Shabad....then all the three become one Ocean, without any distiction as who is now drop, or who is wave ...as per now, only Ocean exists.

It is a sign or an evidence, that our budh, or faculty of reasoning has got polluted, if we believe the contrary, to the words of Akal Purukh Baba Nanak.

Wah wah , Sachay Badshah.

RAAG SOOHEE, GURU RAM DAS:

naanak dargeh mani-aa gur pooray saabaas

SACHAY BADSHAH GURU RAM DAS, IN THIS HIS PAVITER BANI IS TELLING US:
O Nanak, I am approved and respected in the Court of the Lord; the Perfect Guru has blessed me .

NOW LET US SEE, WHAT DOES HE MEAN ? WHAT IS HE TRYING TO TELL US, IN THESE SIMPLE WORDS?

WELL, IT CAN NOT BE MORE CLEAR.

FIRST OF ALL HE SAYS, I HAVE BEEN APPROVED AND RESPECTED IN WAHIGURU`S COURT.

BUT THE CONDITION FOR IT, IS, THAT THIS WAS ONLY POSSIBLE, WHEN I WAS GRACED BY THE BLESSING OF A PERFECT GURU, A GURMUKH, A SANT JAN..... SO NATURALLY, ONLY, WHEN WE COME IN THE SANGAT OF A SADH, A GURMUKH, WE DO GET FROM HIM, THE UPDESH.......... THE JUGTEE ......... THE BHED ........ THE PARSAD......... HIS BAKSHISH ....... HIS BLESSING OF NAM ......

AND THEN THE CONSEQUENCE OF THIS IS : THE MERGING AND BECOMING ONE WITH AKAL PURUKH.

AND IF THIS IS SO, AND HAS TO BE ONLY SO... LET US ASK OURSELVES, LET US HAVE AN INTROSPECTIVE LOOK IN OUR VERY DEPTHS, AND BE SINCERE IN RAISNG THE FOLLOWING QUESTION : HOW MUCH OF THESE WORDS, ARE BEING CARRIED FAITHFULLY BY US?

BECAUSE IF WAHIGURU IS OUR GOAL; THEN WHERE ARE OUR STEPS TAKING US? TOWARDS GURMAT ? BY PRACTICING WHAT ALL OUR GURU SAHIBANS HAVE STATED RIGHT FROM THE FIRST LINE TO THE LAST LINE IN THE BANI, OR, IS IT THAT WE ARE ENTANGLED AND INMERSED IN MANMAAT, BY ALL THE KARAM KHANDS, RITUALS, POLITICS, PILGRIMAGES, IDOL WORSHIP, ETC, ETC, ETC ..... AN ENDLESS LIST OF OUR MOORAKHTA.

WE ARE AL CULPRITS AND EVILDOERS OF THE BANI. WHY? BECAUSE THE BANI SAYS ONE THING: NAM BHAKTI AND WAHIGURU.

AND WE DO MANY THINGS, BUT NOT NAM BHAKTI. WHY? BEACUSE WE HAVE BLOCKED OUR MINDS AND HEARTS,BY BELEIVING THAT GURMUKHS SHALL NEVER COME AGAIN .....AND IF SOMEONE IS CALLED SO, WE GET INFURIATED AND DO ALL POSSIBLE, TO ILL SPEAK ABOUT HIM AND SLANDER HIM OR EVEN ABUSE HIM ....AND THIS HATRED, WAHIGURU SHALL NEVER FORGIVE US.

OUR GURU SAHIBANS, KNOW HOW SILLY AND FOOLISH WE ALL ARE, THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE LEFT THE BANI FOR US, SO THAT WE MAY CHECK OURSELVES THROUGH IT.

IT´S VALUE IS ETERNAL, IT IS TIMELESS .....

THEY ALSO SAY: MAT KOEE BHARAM BHOOLAY SANSAR, BIN SATGUR(GURMUKH), KOEE NA OOTRAS PAAR .
WITHOUT A GURMUKH, NO ONE CAN SWIN ACROSS(FROM MAYA OR BRAHAM to PAARBRAHAM AKAL PURUKH SATNAM).

WE HAVE REDUCED THEIR GURMAT(RUHANIYAT-SPIRITUALITY) TO OUTER LIMITED ELEMENTS SUCH AS : SYMBOLS, SLOGANS, RITUALS, LANDS AND POLITICS ....AND THEN TOO WE PROUDLY SAY ...WE ARE SIKHS .... SHAME ON US!

WE HAVE TOTALLY FORGOTTEN THEIR AIM OF MERGING IN WAHIGURU THROUGH GURMAT, THROUGH NAM BHAKTI ...WE READ OR RECITE LIKE PARROTS THE BANI, WITHOUT EVER THINKING WHAT GURU SAHIBANS ARE REMINDING US THROUGH THEIR PURE PAVITER BANI.

AND THAT IS NOTHING OTHER THAN:
"IK ONKAR, SATGUR PARSAD."

IN SHORT, WAHIGURU LORD, IS ONLY ONE...AND THE SAME IS REALIZED BY THE UPDESH GIVEN TO US, BY HIS PHYSICAL FORM OR ROOP: A GURMUKH.

What is bhakti?

We may say devotion to Wahiguru or the Lord.

But are we sure that the so called bhakti we practice, is accepted in His court?

Satguru Sachay Badshah Guru Amar Das, in His Bani Ramkali says:

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਭਗਤੁ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ

Har Naam Dhhiaaeae, Bhagath Jan Soee

हरि नामु धिआए भगतु जनु सोई

One who meditates on the Lord's Name, is the only devotee of the Lord.

He can not be more clear. Have we ever asked ourselves, or stopped to think that whatever we do, is it true bhakti, or is it due to mass induction, as we see others do?

We have to read and understand well the Bani, in order to act accordingly. People may manipulate and twist the Bani and make us believe in wrong interpretations about the Bani, which lead us nowhere .... and we firmly believe that this our dharma of sikhism ..... which is totally wrong.

The words of Guru Sahibans are unchangeable, no one can ever change them. Time after time Gurmukhs come to remind us of the utter and simple truths contained in them.

So is Guru Amar Das Jee warning us. He says do not ever think, that by follwing certain rules and regulations established by a team of board members, you become a sikh, a devotee of Wahiguru ...

The ony rules we should to follow, are of Gurmat, are of the Bani ...and the bani clearly says:

Only if you meditate on Nam, you are a sikh ... a devotee .... a lover, of Akal Purukh.

Why?

Because you care and depend on nothing else, except on His essence, which is Nam or Shabad. Your sole focus and goal is to unite your soul with Wahiguru, through Nam bhakti, according to the instructions of a Gurmukh.

Wah wah, Sachhe Badshah Akal Purukh.

Gauree Maajh, Fifth Mehl:(218-9) Bani Dhan Guru Sree Arjun Dev Maharaj

Shabad: Har Raam Raam Raam Raamaa ....
By meditating upon that Har, as Raam, Raam, Raam.... you become like Him, you become one with Him, you get dissolved in Him(Raama).

Mil saaDhoo sang uDhaar ho-ay,
mukh oojal darbaar.

Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one is saved,
and one's face becomes radiant in the Court of the Lord.

Naanak ubray Naam jap,
dar sachai saabaas.

Nanak is saved, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord; in the True Court, he is cheered and applauded.

In the upper 2 lines from the Bani or Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, we can se the summary of Gurmat.
And what is that summary?
Well, it is very clear, as the following three points are highlighted in this Shabad, and if attention paid, also in the whole of Guru Granth Sahib:

Nº1) The one Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh, as the goal of each and every soul.

Nº2) Gurmukhs, Sant Janas or Sadh Janas, are necessary as, only in their company we learn the true devotion, eliminate our haume or ego, and get the Gurparsad, or Bhed or Jugtee of Nam.

and nº 3) The path of Nam Simran alone, as the way to reach Wahiguru Akal Purukh

Following these simple teachings of our Guru Sahibans alone, are we entitled to call ourselves Gursikhs ... not otherwise.

Shalok, Third Mehl:
Raag Gauri, Guru Amar Das

In this today´s Shabad of Sree Guru Amar Das Jee Satgur Maharaj, importance of meeting a Gurmukh of one´s time is underlined and explained to us, for our spiritual uplift.

Guramukh Giaan, Bibaek, Budhh Hoe
The Gurmukh is blessed with spiritual wisdom and a discerning intellect. Here Guru Sahiban, is saying that, the Gurmukh is the embodiment of spiritual knowledge and purity.

Har Gun Gaavai, Hiradhai Haar Paroe
He sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and weaves this garland into his heart. Then He says that, His main characteristic, is that He lays supreme importance of the Lord praises and sings them, by sharing them with us humans. Prabh ka Simran, Har Goun Bani. He engages us in this sanctified practice of Nam Simran alone, becuse by doing so, we sing the glories of Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

Pavith Paavan, Param Beechaaree
He becomes the purest of the pure, a being of supreme understanding, as Nam Simran is the panace for all ills and with it´s practice we also become pure paviter.

J Ous Milai This Paar Outhaaree
Whoever he meets, he saves and carries across. This is the job of a real Gurmukh, He is sent by Akal Purukh, to distribute the Gurparasd among us humans, and thus enable us to go back to our Nij Ghar Sach Khand.

Anthar Har Naam, Baasanaa Samaanee
The fragrance of the Lord's Name permeates his being deep within. He talks and thinks of Nam alone, and is thus dyed in the colour of Nam.

Har Dhar Sobhaa, Mehaa Outham Baanee
He is honored in the Court of the Lord, and his speech is the most sublime. He is the prime Minister in the court of Wahiguru.

J Purakh Sunai ,Se Hoe Nihaal
Those who hear him are delighted. Those who go into their Sharan or refuge, get the taste and bliss of Nam.

Naanak Sathigur Miliai, Paaeiaa Naam Dhhan Maal
O Nanak, meeting the True Guru, one obtains the wealth and property of the Naam. That is why Satgur Nanak, tells us to go and seek that type of Gurmukh, who as seen above is a Master in ruhaniyat or spirituality, in purity and is filled with the unextinguishable wealth of Nam.

Wah Wah Sachay Badshah.

ANTER JOT NIRANTER BANI, SACHAAY SAHIB SIU LIV LAAE.

In each one of us, a light is shining, and from within it the most melodious music is pouring forth. If we experience this inner light and are able to catch hold of the sound of the music, all our worldly attachments will leave us, and instead we shall be attached to the Lord Wahiguru.

It is most significant that wherever we worship and pray to the Lord, we light lamps and candles, strike bells and make sounds like the conch.

Do we wonder why?

The real gurdwara, temple, mosque or church is our body, we should turn inwards and search there, and then we shall experience the inner light and hear the sound of the bell and conch within ourselves. (Nam jinke man vaseh, vaajeh Shabad ganere)

The lights we see outside are not the real thing. Saints, Sant Janas, Gurmukhs, use them to explain that this is the kind of sound and the kind of light we will hear and see inside ourselves.

When we send children to school, we first put them in a Montesori school or kindergarten. They are not taught lessons, but are given a little something to eat and toys to play with, so that they feel happy to be there.

As thay get older, they leave their toys behind and are taught lessons(Nam Simran). They do not stay in the kindergarten their whole life.

Similarly, these outer man made places of worship, are there to engender in us, love for the Lord. We are not supposed to play with these toys(rituals, idol worship of the lifeless) all our lives, but to progress beyond them, and to develop that love, which is the true love, irrespective of what country or religion we may belong, for that ultimate Truth, which is within each and every one of us.

Raag Goojree, Bani Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj Sachay Badshah

Shabad:Thoon Dhaathaa Jee-aa Subhunaa Kaa, Busuhu Mere Mun Maahee
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਬਸਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ

We must bear in our minds, that our Guru Sahibans, Gurmukhs of alll times and places, are people sent by Wahiguru Akal Purukh... not only that, but according to the Bani, Akal Purukh resides in them, and thus Himself sings His glory, so that we may know something about His majesty, His inmensity, His boundless size, His limitless love, mercy, Daya Meher, His bakshish... that is why He is known as Ooch Apaar Beant Soami, which means: the Highest, Unfathomable, & Infinite Lord.

And the main purpose of His coming as a Satguru, a Gurmukh, a Sant, a Brahmgyani, is just to collect our souls and take them back with Him, to our Nijh Ghar Sach Khand.

And if it is not so, we by ourselves, can never ever even think about Him, so what to say about the subtle and mysterious path leading to Him. Of which, even the gods of the status of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva know not about it... so what to say about we normal mortal beings. All the souls of gods, demigods, and the rest of beings below Parbraham, are entrapped and misled by Kal Purukh and his faithful servant Maya.

That is why, the bani says: Sant sang, Prabh anter deetha. Means, in the company of a Gurmukh I was able to have the darshan of my Lord Wahiguru.

Why is this so?

Because that wadbhagee soul , who is now in the company at all times with the Gurmukh, if it was alone, surely the mighty Kal had cheated her, but seeing her in the company of a Gurmukh, who is a manifestation of Wahiguru Himself, he does not block their way, but rather bows down in reverence, as he very well knows, that once one who is under the shelter of a Gumukh, he can not touch even one hair of that soul, he dares not to go even near that soul, because now that soul has got the protective hand of a Gurmukh on her head. This is the majesty of a Gurmukh, any words to praise Him, are but only ridiculous.

What else does the Bani has to say about such a Gurmukh, so that one may look for one? Well, tenth Patshahee could not be more clear, when He said Guru maaniyo granth. Means, look for and accept that being as Gurmukh, who is described in the Granth Sahib.

Now, who is that being qualified to be called as a Satguru, which the Granth Sahib mentions us. In this sense also, our Guru Granth Sahib is very very straight forward; it says: Ghar ke ander ghar dikhae, so Satgur Purukh sujaan. Means, He who shows you your True Home inside your own home body temple, is known as a Satguru.

My God, such beautiful words .... so simple and truthful words... and we maha-moorakhs are doing all the opposite... shame on us, and still we proudly call ourselves sikhs? What sikhiya, are we following of our Guru Sahibans?

We are much engrossed and lost in our own ritulas, ceremonies and rules and regulations. Our Guru Sahibans´ only aim was Wahiguru...that is why they said: Saas Saas simroh Gobind...this was their only rule and ritual. This rule is the real maryada of the soul. We may be surprised why all Guru Sahibans stress so much on Nam Bhakti and not on other rules which we all know by heart... Because this rule, is the true liberator of the soul from the clutches of mind, maya and Kal .

That is why they said: Awar kaaj tere kitteh na kam, mil sadh sangat(a Gurmukh), aur bhaj, kewal Naam. And so if this rule is followed with sincerity, they promise us that we shall meet and become one with Akal Purukh. That is why they stated: Jin Har jaapiya, se Har hoiya. No other way,do whatever we may. If we want to meet wahiguru, we must, leave all else aside, and put into action, the simple and easy method of Naam Simran.

Otherwise due to our attachments, for our outer and external practices, taking them as pillars of sikhism, we shall at most return as ghosts at those places, which we take as our own identities of mazab or dharam.... means we have been misled by Kal, who has suceeded in stopping us from proceeding towards and thinking of SatPurukh, means we have lost our precious human birth to meet Wahiguru...who knows when shall we get it again or not?

True mazab is the one which unites us with Wahiguru, not keeping us away from Him, by diverting our attention towards fulfilling rules, and regulations established by board members .... not by our Guru Sahibans. We think we sacrifice and give our lives for the purpose of our mazab, so we shall go direct to Sach Khand...Wrong, totally wrong.
The Bani says, only by meditating on Him, we can become one with Him...so if we do not do that, and rather kill or suicide, how shall we ever become one with Him?

Purity of heart and mind is not gained without Nam Simran, so how can we cheat ourselves, by beleiving that we shall merge in the Amritsar of Nam in Sach Khand, just like that so easily without the must of sikhiya of our Gurus, which is Naam Simran alone ... This is all "maanmat".

Millions came before us, we shall pass away also... the Creatror is wise enough to take care of His creation, who are we to interfere? Our only business and worry should be: when am I going to merge and become one with my dear beloved Wahiguru?

That is what Guru Arjun dev is telling us in today´s Shabad:
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰਉ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਹੀ
Sas Sas Thaera Nam Samaro, Thum Hee Ko Prabh Ahee
सासि सासि तेरा नामु समारउ तुम ही कउ प्रभ आही

With each and every breath, I contemplate Your Name; O God, I long for You alone.

We can clearly see, He is saying: my Lord I long for you alone through the Simran of your Naam, this is my business alone, the rest is your business...

Wah wah Sachay Badshah....

Re: Wahiguru Akal Purukh, Nam or Shabad & Sadh Kee Sangat...

Postby carlos » Sat Aug 03, 2013 10:33 pm

Whenever Nam Simran is mentioned, usually people tend to think that by doing the simran of any name referring to that Supreme Power written in the holy texts of almost all religions, is as same as Nam Simran.

Names like: Allah, Wahiguru, Hari Om, Gobind, Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu, Har, God, Jehova, Satnam, etc ....or like those, more than 1200 names mentioned by the Tenth Patshahee, and so on....

Each religion, each mazab, each language, has several such names... in hundreds ...or even thousands. And all of these are known as "Varnatmik", which come under the parameteres of being, spoken, written and read. This is where the conflicts start between the different religions, each one proclaiming it´s superiority.

First of all, Wahiguru or that Supreme Power has no name. And becuase of that Saints have called Him as Anami. In reality, Wahiguru is a level of consciousness, a conscious power just to say something about it, because whatever we may say or think about it, it is inadequate.

The Bani says: sochay soch na hovaee, jeh sochay lakh waar

So, that infinite conscious power has no name, because all these names we know, are descriptive names of that Supreme Being.

When there was no creation, no men, no languages....how was that Anami being called as?

Naturally it could not be called, but it existed, it exists and shall exist, even when there shall be Parlay and Mahaparlay... so who will be left there to call Him? Naturally no one. But then too, He is known as Naam, or Shabad. This is His true form. The Bani says, when there was no creation, nothing, He was inmersed in Himself, in His Shabad or Dhun roop.

Now one thing is certain, if any man of any religion, has the Darshan of this reality, in the inner spiritual planes and comes back to speak out about it, all will speak about it in the same terms. Because now that experience of that Primal truth and reality is genuine, without the mixture of mind and maya. Because naturally, it is not based on blind faiths nor mental concepts, but on the personal experience about it.

The bani says:
"Jeta keeta, teta Nao,
Bin Navay, nahee kou thao
"
Means, everything that is created, is created by that Naam, nothing exists which is not created by that Naam. We must once again keep in mind, Wahiguru has nothing to do with any word of any religion, He is above all these limited fences, which try to limit the limitless in boundaries ....

And the Nam, which is mentioned in each ang of the Granth Sahib, of which Simran has to be done, is the Nam given by a Gurmukh of our times. It says: IkOnkar, Satgur Parsad. Which means, there is only one Supreme God, which is realized by that Nam, as the bakshish, the bhed, the jugtee, given by a Satguru.

Now Satguru, is not anybody proclaiming himself as a guru...it is quite difficult to meet such a Gurmukh. It is only by His grace alone, that one comes to meet and accept that Gurmukh, the rest of the world will deny Him and slander Him, just because He will not stress upon any outer devotion, nor rules, nor regulations which bind us or limit us as souls; but will only insist on Nam Simran, to realize, to meet and merge in Wahiguru Akal Purukh. And to worship Wahiguru, for the sake of the love for Wahiguru alone.

That wadbhagee soul who does this type of devotion of Wahiguru is really a shaheed. Because, that soul fights bravely with the mind and the evil vices and tendencies, with the guidance of a Gurmukh, not for anything else or purpose, but solely for the purpose of becoming pure enough to meet and merge in Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Anything apart from this type of sacrifices or devotion, is a great harm to ourselves, as we shall continue in the chaurasee ka chakar, as positive ghosts, or shall be born again in some jooness, to fulfill our attachments with our so called religion, dharam, mazab, or bhoomee.

What a pity, we are given the chance to free our souls from the creation, and we use it, to get even tighter chains(dharam, bhoomee) on our souls and return back, whether in the physical world, astral or even the causal plane below Parbraham.

It is nonsense to believe that if I sacrifice my life for my dharam or bhoomee, I shall earn merits and go straight to Wahiguru.

The Bani warns us: Jhin Har japiya, se Har hoiya. Means, only by Nam Simran can we become with Him, not any otherwise. Do what we may, bur of no avail.

We have been in the creation for aeons, and if we ever go back to Wahiguru, we shall become one with Him witout any distinction. We are separated from from Him, as long we are individual identities due to the mind. Once we drop off the mind through Nam Simran, we are no singhs nor kaurs, we are pure drops of souls, we are carried in the river of Shabad Dhun to the Infinte Ocean of Satnam, where we reach and merge in Him, becoming Him, and we are one with Him.

So how can He send any individuals to go to some places and take care of those places?

We see, it is all our baseless mental ideas which we take as truth, for which we go to the extent and give our lives happily, thinking we are shaheeds, and shall meet Wahiguru for it.

Even if being sahheeds, was so important, then why do we still have and maintain our separate individual identities? Why are we not one with Wahiguru? It is our weakness and ignorance, which does not allow us to make the right choice of becoming one with Akal Purukh, but rather remain as limited individuals.

Otherwise if we had merged in Him, we would say, I am Him. But the fact, of we not saying so, is a proof that we are entangled in maya still, and we are quite separated from our beloved Wahiguru. According to Gurmat, our only desire, should be to love Wahiguru that much through Nam Simran, that uncondtionally, we become one with Him. This is the purpose, of all Guru Sahibans and Gurmukhs

In Sach Khand, only Wahiguru exists. Anybody reaching there in the company of a Gurmukh, also becomes Wahiguru. There is no question of individual identities.

All our Guru Sahibans, our Bhagats, once left this creation, have merged and become one with that one Wahiguru, so who are we, that we think we shall retain our identities when reaching Sach Khand. Who wants to remain as a drop, when one can become an huge Ocean.

This is not like saying, my name is Dalbir Singh, I am from Amritsar, and I am going to the States or Canada, and I shall continue being Dalbir Singh there also.

This happens so, as long we are below Parbraham.

Once we reach Sach Khand, we are no more singhs nor kaurs, as stated before, we have shed off all of our fake covers and identities due to the mind, thus have become one only then, with Alkal Purukh.

Now if there is any doubt, on which Nam to do Simran, our Guru Sahibans have made it very clear, because we are under the misconception that shall be no more Gurmukhs after Tenth Patshahee, so naturally nobody will ever think in that way to find one, but as also said before, the auspicious meeting with a Gurmukh is a question of good luck, a blessing of Akal Purukh, not otherwise.

But the point is, the Bani says:
Sant Parsad, jaapiye Har Nao

And : Se simreh, jis Aap simrae

Means, the bhed, the bakshish, the updesh, given by a Gurmukh of our times, is the one of which Simran is to be done, because it is that Gurprasad, it is that Nam Simran, which the Bani refers in each of it angs.

In our Bani, different terms are used to name that one Conscious Power , just as Satguru, Sant, Gurmukh, Brahmgyani; which comes at our human level, to give us Himself totally, as Nam Simran...

That is why the Bani says: Jeh vad Aap, te vad Teree daat

On which Nam , has one to do it´s Simran?

Saachay Badshah Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, clears all our doubts, which are many indeed.

In the SUKHMANI SAHIB, He says:

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ

Naanak, Guramukh Naam, Paavai Jan Koe

नानक गुरमुखि नामु पावै जनु कोइ

He does not say repeat :Har, Gobind, Ram, Om, Satnam, Wahiguru, Allah, God, ............. etc, in which, most of the world is entangled.

Rather He says:

Repeat the Nam(method, jugtee), you get from a Gurmukh, because, rarely blessed are those, who get this type of Nam. And it is this bakshish, this real Gurparsad, which makes us cross the creation, from Brahm, to Parbraham...and then to Sach Khand.

Saachay Badshah Guru Nanak, also says:
bin bhaagaa satsang na paa-ee-ai, karam milai, har naam haree

Which means, without being written in one´s destiny, one can never ever meet a Gurmukh of one´s time.
One shall deny Him. And if it is so written to meet Him, then, one gets from Him, the Nam of the Lord .

Satguru Amar Das, confirms these words of Nanak Sahib, by stating:
Satgur bhaytay, poorai bhaag
by perfect destiny only, they meet the True Perfect Guru.

We can see, it is not in one´s hands at all, to believe and accept a Gurmukh of one´s time. It is all His grace, that then only, will we do the real bhakti of Nam, the rest will be entangled in the worldly outer rituals, fastings, bathing, rules, dogmas, politics, idol worship, pilgrimages, reading of the holy sciptures.... in one word, misled by Maya.

From the few examples mentioned above, we can see that, no Gurmukh ever comes to make any new rules or laws, He follows His predessors teachings by each letter and word, and stresses only on that, which is none other than Nam Bhakti, apart from that, anything else, is "manmat", is "agyanta", is "ignorance", is being blind to Gurmat.

All the Saints, the Bhagats mentioned in the Sree Guru Granth Sahib, like Guru Ravi Das, like Sant Kabir Sahib, etc... were not from the Punjab, nor did they have any relation to what is today sikhism, but even then, if we read their Banis from the Granth Sahib, they all mention and do mahima of one Nam alone. This Nam, is not a word of any language, but it is an all conscious, blissfull, and all powerfull energy, which can be contacted only through Nam Simran, that is why as we know the Bani says: Jin Har japiyaa, se Har hoeeyaa.

So naturally, the Nam which they and all Gurmukhs and Guru Sahibans mention and refer to, are not any particular words as said before above, but refer to the method, the technique or the jugtee, given by a Gurmukh, a Sant Jan of our times, as their Gurparsad, which frees and elevates our souls, beyond all boundaries of parlay and mahaparlay, and lands us up, to the lap of Satpurush.

Amrit ras pee-aa, gur Sabdee, ham Naam vitahu kurbaan
Parbhaatee Mehlaa 4 Bibhaas

In this fourth Patshahee´s Shabad, Guru Sahiban is giving us some simple and clear directions, to overcome our agyanta, clean the vessels of our minds, so that, that Kul Malik, Paree Pooran Parmatma, comes and abides in our hearts.

Well, the fact is, He is already everywhere, but by following Gurmat, He discloses Himself by His grace, to whomsoever is ready to love Him according to Gurmat. Because almost everybody loves Him, but to love Him according to Gurmat is a different thing. This is what makes the difference.

Some may ask, what is all this difference about. Well, Gurmat teaches us to love Wahiguru, for the only sake of Wahiguru alone, without any conditions. And to love Him in that way, though it is simple, we people make it as good as impossible.

Why?

Because, we have adjusted Gurmat to our weaknesses, limiting the Bani, between the walls of rituals, dogmas,
outer rules, regulations, symbolisms and slogans, idol worship, lands, mazabs, even we have politized the paviter Bani, and thus those who are devils and culprits, we have have made them heros, just because they use the popular sentence that we are saints and soldiers, to just cover their real evil intentions of disgracing themselves and pulling along a vast majority of weak minded to the worst disaster possible, that is to loose one´s life, which was given us, to realize and meet Wahiguru.

So, the method to love Wahiguru according to Gurmat, is to love Him, without the intervention of the mind. Beacuse the mind is our real enemy, and it is this mind whom we have to conquer, and for defeating it, we have to be soldiers, means we have to be alert like soldiers, that this powerfull and invisble may not distract and attack us, by throwing upon us, it´s weapons of : kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankar.

Each one of us in our lives, has to fight this enemy in order to merge in Wahiguru. This mind has to be fought by each one of us, nobody can come and fight it for us, this is a personal battle to be fought, independently of being a male or female, eatern or western, northern or southern, or even if we are residents of Baikunth, or of the status of Brahma, Vishnu, or Shiva, because even there, mind is as active as on the physical or astral planes, nobody is free from it´s negative influence.

But to learn to really love Wahiguru and to lessen the mind effects, we have to the come under the shade of such a tree, which can protect us from the Sun and it´s heat, and that is Sadh kee sangat.

Only when we come in the company of a Gurmukh, a Sant Jan, a Satguru, we get His protective hand, which is that much powerfull, which can pull out the mind... there in no other such power which can do so ..... not even Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva or any godesses .... they are also misled by maya and mind ... they also wish to come in a human form, in order to come under the shelter of a Gurmukh of that time, so that they also get the Gurparsad, the bakshish of the jugtee of Nam, be free from the cycles of births and deaths, and become one with Wahiguru.

Guru Ram Das, in this today´s Shabad and in the lines below, is telling us how to meet Wahiguru

Kit biDh ki-o paa-ee-ai parabh apunaa,
How am I to find my God?
mo ka-o karahu updays Har daan.

Please bless me with the Gift of the Updesh, the bhed, the jugtee Gift of the Lord´s wealth.
And what is this Lord´s wealth, by which we become rich spiritually? It is His Naam.

Then in the following line, He is telling us where to get it from.
Sadh Sangat meh Har Har vasi-aa,
The Lord, Har, Har, resides in the Saints; we can clearly see, the Bani says, Wahiguru does not reside in lifeless things made of paper, stone or metal, but resides in a living Gurmukh, a Sant Jan. These words of the Gurbani are eternal and unperishable, not for a particular period of time of some hundred years, or place. The method of meeting Wahiguru is only one, unchangeable throughout all ages: Satyug, Tretayug, Dwapuryug and Kaliyug.

mil sangat, har gun jaan.

joining this Sangat, the Lord's Glories are known.
Here He is telling us, that by taking shelter under a Gurmukh, we come to know the majesty of Akal Purukh, and we start singing His glories, in a unique manner, the method of Nam Simram, that is why the Bani says, Prabh ka Simran, Har gun Bani.

Vadai bhaag, Sadhsangat paa-ee, Gur Satgur, paras bhagvaan.
By great good fortune, the Society of the Saints is found. Through the Guru, the True Guru, I receive the Touch of the Lord God.
In this line, He is telling us, that to meet a Gurmukh of one´s time, is a consequence of real blessings from Akal Purukh, not otherwise, the rest of us will deny the need and existence of a Gurmukh, for the purpose of God realization. Then He is telling and assuring us, that, once we receive this Gurparsad, and by it´s kamaee and practice, we shall feel the touch of Wahiguru.

My God, what beautifull words of our Fourth Patshahee!

We have heard and read that Wahiguru´s true form is His Shabad swaroop. So when we are steadfast on Nam Simran, another wonderful thing happens to us.

Just as Satguru Sachay Badshah Guru Amar Das says: Nam jinke man vaseeya, vajeh Shabad ganere. This means, once Nam is perfected in it´s practice and is established in the depths of our mind and hearts, we start listening the unstruck divine melodies of Shabad...this is the touch of Akal Purukh to our souls, this is the Amrit which flows 24 hours inside our selves, and that by drinking it, or better said listening to it, only then we become real sikhs, real khalsas, in one word .... real Gursikhs. Only then, we are heading to our true desh, true land, which is Sach Khand, the land, of our True Father Satnam.

This is what we should all look for, and fight with our minds, with all our powers and strenghts, then only are we real saints and soldiers. We are soldiers, by fighting and defeating the real enemy of our mind, and we have become saints by merging our cosciouness and souls in Akal Purukh.

And all this is only possible by loving Wahiguru, according to Gurmat, the key to this bliss is Nam Simran, got as Gurparasd from a Gurmukh.

As the bani says:
Nanak, Gurmukh Naam, paveh jan koee. This is the method or jugtee, the Gurmanter, which the Bani repeats constantly in each of it´s angs.
O Nanak, only a few, get that Nam as Gurparsad from a Gurmukh.

Raag Maaroo Mehlaa 5
Shabad: ab mohi jeevan padvee paa-ee

In this Shabad, Sachay Badshah Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, is telling us, the key to behold Wahiguru in our hearts and minds.

He says: Cheet aa-i-o man Purakh Vidhaataa, Santan kee sarnaa-ee

This means, when I got the shelter at the Charan Kamal of a Sant Jan, a Gurmukh .... Wahiguru Akal Purukh, came to abide in my mind.

He clearly says, this is the way to devote oneself to Wahiguru .... by getting in the company, in the sangat of a Sadh, a Gurmukh.

Brothers.... we should carefully pay attention to the Amrit Bani of our Guru Sahibans, their words are not meant for a past generation of some hundred yeras back.... their words are evergreen, for all times: past, present and future. Parlays(Dissolutions), or Mahaparlays(Grand Dissolutions), may come infinte times, but the words of Guru Sahibans are as eternal as them, not a single coma, letter or word can be added or changed, their value is unchangeable, however we manmukhs may try to do so .... we are the loosers if we do so .... so let us take the Bani literally, without changing the meaning to our tastes or points of views, and then we can taste the sweet Amrit contained in it.

From Gurmukhs we get Gurmat ... and by following Gurmat only ... we get united with Wahiguru Akal Purukh.
So what is Gurmat? Gurmat is not rules, regulations nor a code of conduct ....neither symbolisms nor slogans ..... Gurmat is something practical, with which, we get the almighty Akal Purukh. And that Gurmat is: His Gurparsad. That is why the Bani says: Jevad Aap, tevad Teree daat
. Wahiguru Akal Purukh, Himself gives Himself, to those few wadbhagee jeevas, who go and take shelter at the Sharan Kamal of a Gurmukh of their times, according to the pure paviter Bani of our Guru Sahibans and any true Gurmukhs of any time and place, like those mentioned in the Guru Granth Sahib. All and each one of them stress only on one thing: Bin Navay, nahee kou thaou. There is no shore for you to lean on, if you do not do Nam Bhakti according to Gurmat.

Satguru miley taa, Gurmat paee.

The Bani clearly says:

HAR KA SEWAK
SO HAR JEHA,

BHED NA JANO
MANAS DEHA

This means, Wahiguru always comes and manifests Himself in a human form. That is why it says: the Sadh, the Sant Jan, the Gurmukh is as good and as true as the Lord Wahiguru Himself .... do not get deluded, neither try to differentiate between a Gurmukh and the Lord Har, just because He has taken up a human form to reveal Himself.

Raag Bilaaval, Mehla 5
Bani Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj

How wise and true are our Guru Sahibans...

There are many of us, who are misled by the ignorants ...who pretend to know ....but are empty.

But the words of our Gurmukhs, Guru Sahibans are eternal, changeless... as said many times, our Sikh Gurus are but just a link, which unites our souls with Wahiguru Akal Purukh, like the rest of links in a chain. A chain is made of links, and to enchain ourselves with Akal Purukh, we need a present link also. As it has always been at all places and times, these links are the Sants, the Gurmukhs, the Sadhs ... in whom, Satpurukh manifests Himself. Otherwise Akal Purukh is omnipresent... He is in stones, in papers, in idols, everywhere .... but that omnipresence is not of much help to us humans. It is only helpful to us when, He discloses Himself, in a Gurmukh... a living conscious being, who can guide us up to Him, who can inspire us to love Him, who can in one word, give us the Amrit of Gurparsad. That is the Satguru to be sought, which the Granth Sahib tells us about.

It says: "ghar ke ander ghar dikhlae... so Satgur Purukh Sujaan"

Satguru Sachay Badshah Arjun Dev Maharaj, tells us something similar in this His Raag Bilaaval :
SaDh sang, pargatay naaraa-in.
In the Saadh Sangat, in the Company of a Gurmukh, the Lord becomes manifest.

Wahiguru is a level of consciousness, and it can only and always manifest in living beings, that also only in the human "joonee". This is the law made by Wahiguru Himself...... no Sant, no Gurmukh can change this, neither they want to do it... it is senseless.

Do we not see, that the other Gurmuks mentioned in the Granth Sahib, who are not of the sikh panth, but also stress on Nam Bhakti to meet Wahiguru, were also humans .... the link of sikhism started around six hundred years back .....

How can we be so narrow minded, and think that we are the only ones with the knowledge and possesion of the truth ... all others before or after, can not meet Wahiguru ...

Let us read the Bani carefully, it clearly mentions that Nam and Shabad,is the creator of everything, and through the method of devotion to it, is the Gurmat for all mankind, throughout all the Yugas... And so, if Gurmat .... Wahiguru .... Shabad or Nam and Gurmukhs have existed even before the coming of our beloved Satguru Nanak Dev Maharaj ..... how can we think or accept, that after Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj.... Gurmat will stop its course and take a different direction, to what it is presented before us today .... Sorry, but that is not Gurmat. We have lost the essence of Nam, and mixed the pure teachings of our Guru Sahibans, with slogans, symbolisms, politics, rituals, and many more things like those in hinduism ...

Shame on us, we read the Bani like parrots, without giving even a slight thought on what our Guru Sahibans meant, though the Bani is very simple , clear . and direct to the point .... the thing is, since we have been born, we are taught to view the Bani in a particular way, though that is not correct ...but that is what we have seen since our childhood ... so we take it as real.

What a pitiful sight. Such a high, pure and sweet Bani... and we have manipulated it ... and then too we proudly say we are sikhs.

The purpose of Gurmat, is only Wahiguru. Nothing more.

And Wahiguru can only be found, by His simran, got as a bhed, as a jugtee, as a Gurparsad...from a Gurmukh of our times.

ON LOVE AND DEVOTION ...

Devotion, is not a subject for reasoning or even for thinking.

It is an intuitive emotion of love....

Devotion consists in fixing the form of a Gurmukh in our heart ....

Then love is awakened in the heart of the (sikh) disciple.

Thus, the object of love is to lose oneself, in the identity of the beloved Gurmukh.

Re: Wahiguru Akal Purukh, Nam or Shabad & Sadh Kee Sangat...

Postby carlos » Sat Oct 26, 2013 10:53 pm

It is commonly beleived by the vast majority of mankind, that Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh, has some human like form like us but much finer and preetier, and that when one dies, one goes there in His presence, one retains somehow one´s form.

Or that past Gurmukhs, or our Guru Sahibans, once left this material plane, are all seated, in His Darbar like ministers in the palace of a king.

This is a very big mistake made by most of us. And because of the root cause of this ignorance in the very depth of our rusted minds and hearts, we fight and kill each other in the name of dharam or religion, each one claiming it´s superiority over the others.

Such a stupidity. Such a pity.

According to our Guru Sahibans, we know that Wahiguru is a highest level of Consciouness, which is a creative, loving, blissful, and merciful energy.

Fourth Patshahee, Sree Guru Ram Das, tells us something about this matter in His bani:
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਈਆ
Raam Naam Hai Joth Sabaaee Guramukh Aapae Alakh Lakheeaa
राम नामु है जोति सबाई गुरमुखि आपे अलखु लखईआ

The Light of the Lord's Name permeates all; the Gurmukh knows the unknowable.
First of all, He says, the Light of the Lord´s Name permeates all.

Let us pause and clear a little bit this matter, Ram Nam or Nam, are not reffered as some words, but as a type of Energy like Sun for example, which irradiates the Holy Light and lits with life force, the lamps of the hearts and souls of all beings without any distinction of colour, caste or creed.

So, if He is the same in each and everybody, what sense has it got to fight or kill in the name of land, dharam or religion?
Is He different, in different people?

The answer is no, as seen according to Guru Ram Das.
So, is it not foolish to kill or die in the name of religion?
And if our souls are like rays of that same divine light in all, it means we are not the body, neither the mind, but we are also a level of that energy and consciousness, known as Satnam.

And if it is the light(soul) which merges in the light(Satnam), then why so much ego or importance of our land or dharam, which shall be left behind here? Which are consciousless, transient and perishable, and which can not be taken with us.

So why even to kill or die in the name of land?
Utter foolishness.
This all due to ignorant fanatics, who themselves get drowned and pull along many others with them in the wheel of eighty four.

Our Gurus aim and objective, is only Wahiguru. Nothing of rituals and ceremonies, nor rules and regulations which divide and limit mankind into the four walls of ignorance. Their only support, is on Nam alone.

"Haun jeeva Nam dhiaye".
I live by meditating on Nam alone.
This is Gurmat

The He says:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਚੈ ਕੰਚਨ ਕਾਇਆ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਈਆ
Guramukh Parachai Kanchan Kaaeiaa Nirabho Jothee Joth Mileeaa
गुरमुखि परचै कंचन काइआ निरभउ जोती जोति मिलईआ

The Gurmukh is inspired by Nam, his body is golden because He is filled with the Light of Nam, and then, when He leaves this plane, His light merges into the Light of the Fearless Lord.

So we see, in the end, if our Guru Sahibans and Gurmukhs, merge in that Nam, who are we to retain our limited identities, when we try to reach there? We are no men no women, we are not whites or blacks, we are not from east, south, north or west, we are not sikhs, christians, muslims or hindus. But according to our beloved Guru Ram Das, and all Gurmukhs, we are rays of the divine Light, that is our true nature, and this ray, once purified from all impurities of sins and sanskaras, through Nam simran, merges back to its source: Wahiguru Akal Purukh.
