How to become Pure?
Kiv Sachearya Hoyiiye,Kiv Koode Tutai Paal
Hukam Rajaayee Challna Nanak Likheya Naal

Follow his order u will become Pure , All ur evils will be disspelled

So What is his order (Hukam)?
How to understand that?

See Haume jis din chaddi te tuhanu sab Gyaan hojjoo..

Like I give u example.. You hav knowledge of some subject. And someone is telling u smthing about that subject.. But u are not listening him .."coz u think u know more than him.

Same is this whole Universe is giving u all thing. God is so near to u. But we are not getting that thing 'coz of our ego . It is ego which is cause of our seperation. "coz of this thing we think of ourself as a different person and are not able to merge in Him.

When this ego gone. One merges in Him .

In Sikhism it is order of Guru's not to leave Gharist(ur first option).
That is we have to do our duty.

But told us to remember God each and every time. That is we should do Naam Simran then our soul will be free . Or that Naam is so much Immaculate that even if u have taken that even a Single time u will meet God.

When you read Guru Granth Sahib ji.
Whole Guru Granth Sahib ji teaching to do "Naam Simran"

and says

"Awar Kaaj Tere Kite Naa Kaam
Mil Sadh Sangat Bhaj Kewal Naam"

Guru ji says with this Karma (Social work, like teaching being father ,Husband wife u will obtain only and only easiness in ur life or things which are usefull in this world like Money,Happiness, etc etc.)
But to Meet God u need to do Naam Simran.

"Karmi Aawe Kapra
Nadri Mokh Duaar"

Means with ur wordly works like being a Father,Mother, student u will attain
Kapra(this bod) in next birth u will get that type of (if it happens)
Like in family which are u born(In rich or poor)....according to UR this Karma

"Nadri Mokh Duaar"
means ur soul will be satisfied if he sees u with Love.

Or You have to Do Naam Simran for that.

Without Naam Simran if u says that only by fullfilling ur responsibilities u will meet God.
Then Guru says it is false. These things will be left here only. And u will get social status according to dis Karma

But Not God. For meeting God u need to Love him. Do Naam Simran

this is philosophy of Sikhism

Means what Guru says is you have to leave hope in midist in the hope.

You are ordered to live Gharist(Married or social life)
But you have not to indulge in this.
In ur mind only hope of God should be there.
And u have to do Naam Simran to meet God. Without Naam Simran u r not liberated .

Means u hve to become Yogi while living Gharist Life.

Like take example of Bhagat Kabeer ji married ,But spent whole life in praising God.

All ten Guru's married but like Yogis . They spent whole life in praising God.

"Shiri Krishan ji lived married life but havn't done Naam Simran ...or praising God all the time"
also Ram ji...they lived Gharist(Married) life . But not done such things.

But Guru's kept praising God Naam Simran(somewhat like meditation) while they also lived social(married life ,all were having children).

They were working like Guru Nanak did Farming. So like that they ordered Sikh to do.

Guru Nanak earned by farming and then used that money to serving poor people . He did work by his hands. Along with that he kept praising Lord all the time. Meditating on God whole day night. Doing Keertan.

Also made other people to meditate on Lord.

now Why Naam Simran?

And what is Naam Simran?

Actually what Guru ji says is without "Naam Simran"
even if u try you are not able to get rid of five evils.

Even you can see Yogis while they are living life which is not Gharist but they still have these Evils in mind.

Like Ahankar(ego) etc they remain still in them by leaving Gharist you can't control them.

To control those things u need to do Naam Simran that is praising him day night with every breath. 'coz Mukti is when u control these evils and become pure.

Ok lets share with example from Gurubani about Naam Simran

He says one thing, and does something else.

There is no love in his heart, and yet with his mouth he talks tall.

The Omniscient Lord God is the Knower of all.

He is not impressed by outward display.

One who does not practice what he preaches to others,

shall come and go in reincarnation, through birth and death.

Jis kai anṯar basai nirankār.
One whose inner being is filled with the Formless Lord -

by his teachings, the world is saved.

Those who are pleasing to You, God, know You.

Nanak falls at their feet. ||7||

Now three points I am getting from above line

He says one thing, and does something else.

There is no love in his heart, and yet with his mouth he talks tall.

The Omniscient Lord God is the Knower of all.

He is not impressed by outward display.

This is like we recite his name by tongue but something else is going on in our mind. But Guru ji says that God knows what is inside our mind . So he is not pleased by outer recitation only.

Now Second point I am getting is

One who does not practice what he preaches to others,

shall come and go in reincarnation, through birth and death.

Guru ji says that who teaches others but not follows those things. He takes birth and dies again and again.

3rd point I am getting is

Jis kai anṯar basai nirankār.
One whose inner being is filled with the Formless Lord -

by his teachings, the world is saved.

Those who are pleasing to You, God, know You.

Nanak falls at their feet. ||7||

Guru ji says but the person who has realised the God. When he teaches someone ,with his teachings whole world is saved.

And Guru ji says only those realize you who are pleasing you.

And I falls in their feet :D

I comes in this category of people

Now Second point I am getting is

One who does not practice what he preaches to others,

shall come and go in reincarnation, through birth and death.

Guru ji says that who teaches others but not follows those things. He takes birth and dies again and again.

Here is a very beautifull Shabad by Guru Arjun Dev, in which it is very clearly described the above present topic on Sikhism.
Only that much would be really good to know and understand, that as far as things in material universe are confined and related, there is diversity, there is variety, just as Zaat, Paat, Country, land, language, religions, class systems, etc...But as far as Spirituality is concerned, just as our Gurus´have taught us, God is one, and the way leading to Him has naturally to be one. If we say Wahiguru Ka khalsa....which means the Khalsa belongs to Wahiguru. But then what about the rest of the mankind....are they not created by Wahiguru? Do they not belong to Him? Do we have to voice Him our love, faith or devotion? Are we concerned with Him, (who knows even our thoughts before they are created), or with the world, just to show off how religious we are? Whom do we want to impress, Him, or the world? That is why our Gurus taught us the real method of realizing, of comunication with Him, through Nam Simran. This a the real job of a so called sikh, it requires purity, and strength(will power) to conquer our real enemy: the mind, Outwardly we may dress and behave in any manner, all is going to be left here, in that spiritual realm, we do not have any caps, shirts, or trousers, or any physicall outfit or hair stlye, neither language...nothing of that sort...we are pure souls, means consciouss beings. It is a pity, that ours is a beautiful culture, and the teachings of our Gurus´are of the highest level in every way...and we are so misled, so manipulated by ignorants.
Regarding the rest of the world, It is a different thing if they are not consscious about Him...each and every individual´s karmas, sanskaras play a strong role moulding one´s destiny; not everbody is destined to believe or have faith in Him, and that is stated at quite a various places even in the Granth Sahib.

That is why it is stated: Sabna jeea ka, iko Daata...
One universal Lord...for the whole creation, be it may a sikh, christian, muslim, jew...etc.

All religions if traced, there is time, when they came into existence. But the Lord God, of which our Gurus tell us, is since Aad Sach, Jugad Sach, Hae Bee Sach, Nank Ho see bee Sach, means, when even nothing was created, no skies, suns, moons, stars, devis, devtas, gods, maya, man(mind), kal etc... Only He existed. It is that Wahiguru, which our Gurus, teach us to worship, and make Him known to man, (us); otherwise we limited human beings, with our senses and mind, how were we, to even think of Him? It is just His grace, His Daya Meher, His bakshish, sorry no other way.

In the begining of the JapJi Sahib it is said: Iko Onkar, Satnam
There is one and only one Lord, and His real Name(Nam) is Satnam.

The beauty , purity and heights of their teachings are of the highest ranks from any point of view, wihtout any paralell.

Below is just a sample, in a simple and clear manner, of what has been stated above.

ga-orhee sukhmanee mehlaa 5.
Gauree Sukhmani, Fifth Mehl.

satgur sikh kee karai partipaal.
The True Guru cherishes His Sikh.

sayvak ka-o gur sadaa da-i-aal.
The Guru is always merciful to His servant.

sikh kee gur durmat mal hirai.
The Guru washes away the filth of the evil intellect of His Sikh.

gur bachnee har naam uchrai.
Through the Guru's Teachings, he chants the Lord's Name.

satgur sikh kay banDhan kaatai.
The True Guru cuts away the bonds of His Sikh.

gur kaa sikh bikaar tay haatai.
The Sikh of the Guru abstains from evil deeds.

satgur sikh ka-o naam Dhan day-ay.
The True Guru gives His Sikh the wealth of the Naam.

gur kaa sikh vadbhaagee hay.
The Sikh of the Guru is very fortunate.

satgur sikh kaa halat palat savaarai.
The True Guru arranges this world and the next for His Sikh.

naanak satgur sikh ka-o jee-a naal samaarai. ||1||
O Nanak, with the fullness of His heart, the True Guru mends His Sikh. ||1||

Sikhism is a science, is a philosophy, a way of life, which deals mainly on the objective, which is none other than Wahiguru Akal Purukh. And this pure and noble objective, viewd from any angle, is the only worthy purpose of man.

Why is is it so?

Because, anything apart from it, is fake,is transitory, is perishable, and is thus chaining oneself to pain and suffering, which means to continue in the wheel of eighty four, or in the unescable cycle of births and deaths.

Wahiguru Akal Purukh, is the fountain of real and everlasting peace, joy and happiness... not only that, but also of the real knowledge.

One has not to be a scholar, or a Phd in religion, neither of any particular caste, creed, color or nationality, nor of any economic status. Spirituality or ruhaniyat has nothing to do with it. What counts is only love and devotion for Him. No rituals, no pilgrimages, no bathing in any sacred waters, no candles or lamps, no fasting....nothing of that sort. These are only outer forms of a lower worship, which leads us no where, but instead feeds our ego, as if we have done something good or important; but the fact is we are misled by our mind, our manmukhta, without even moving an inch self in spirituality or ruhaniyat.

For that, a definete method has to de practiced, nothing more nor less. Becasuse that method is not man made; so naturally mind is not involved. Though mind may rebel up to our last breath and shake us, but we have to persist and stick to it, as in it, lies our real welfare, and will show our Gurmukhta, and in the end the victory will be ours.
The battle of the battles will only be won then, not otherwise. Since the soul left Satnam´s abode: Sach Khand, since inmemorial times; it has been wandering restlessly, in the creation of Kal ,maya and "man"= mind, in all the species of lives.
So now is our chance. As it is said in the bani: bhai parapat manukh dehuriya, Gobind milan kee yeh teri bahriya. So, let us make the right and maximmum use of this golden opportunity, to merge back in our origin: Satnam.

As said above, for that a definite method is needed and practiced continously, which is the true essence of sikhism, and that is given to us by our Gurus, as Gurprasad, as Nam Simran. And to illustrate it, some bani is taken for this purpose:

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਅੰਤਿ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਈ
naanak naam n chaethiou anth leae shhaddaaee
O Nanak, the mortal does not even think of the Name, which shall deliver him in the end.

jinhee naam visaariaa kiaa jap jaapehi hor
Those who forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord - so what if they chant other chants?

bisattaa andhar keett sae muthae dhhandhhai chor
They are maggots in manure, plundered by the thief of worldly entanglements.

naanak naam n veesarai jhoothae laalach hor
O Nanak, never forget the Naam; greed for anything else is false.

naam salaahan naam mann asathhir jag soee
Those who praise the Naam, and believe in the Naam, are eternally stable in this world
(here praising means, Nam Simran, Nam abhyaas, Nam Bhakti, and its fruits are clearly mentioned in the lines below)

hiradhai har har chithavai dhoojaa nehee koee
Within their hearts, they dwell on the Lord, and nothing else at all.

rom rom har oucharai khin khin har soee
With each and every hair, they chant the Lord's Name, each and every instant, the Lord.

guramukh janam sakaarathhaa niramal mal khoee
The birth of the Gurmukh is fruitful and certified; pure and unstained, his filth is washed away.

(We can clearly see by this the importance of Nam Simran... Wahiguru Himself is obtained.... But what do we manmukhs do instead? We fight and cut the throats of those who do not think like us, we want to live and fight for a piece of land, property, as we are going to live forever in this world. Please let us do a little justice to oursrelves, and follow literally the simple truths of our Gurus, which liberate us, and not the cruelty and agyanta of the manipulators, which makes us run after the shadows instead of the Fountain of light: Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Let us not forget, we all live according to our pralabdh karmas, which nobody can alterate... we shall not get nothing less nor more than what is stored for us, then why waste time after worldly objects... which chain us to this creation with more force. Are we not stupids? But yes, one thing we can do and that is Nam Simran, which will remove all our agyanta, and wash the filth of all our karmas, make us purer, and fit to merge in Akal Purush, and this wealth of Nam, the more we amass it, the more it benefits us in every way, and is the true wealth which the soul can take it with itself, and is going to be our saviour in this world as in the next one, that is why it is said in the bani: eh loke, parloke, sang sahaaee.... )

naanak jeevadhaa purakh dhhiaaeiaa amaraa padh hoee
O Nanak, meditating on the Lord of eternal life, the status of immortality is obtained.

jinee naam visaariaa bahu karam kamaavehi hor
Those who forget the Naam and do other things,

naanak jam pur badhhae maareeahi jio sannhee oupar chor
O Nanak, will be bound and gagged and beaten in the City of Death, like the thief caught red-handed.

(Here we can clearly see once again, that, any other activity, than not doing Nam Simran, is going to hand us in the court of Kal, where we shall be judged for wasting our precious time of this human birth, and going to be beaten untill we turn red and blue, which means continue in the endless painfull cycles of births and deaths.)

We may do whatever we want, dress or behave in anyway we may think that it makes us proud of the land, culture or country where we are born, but according to the real teachings of our Gurus, we may take any bani....only Nam is Sach, and to achieve it, and become one with it, is the essence of any true religion, and in this case it applies to sikhism.

sikhism is not following rituals. it is not not just another religion. sikhism is a path to follow to enlightment that only a follower or a enlightned person has experienced.
it is not mere reading Guru Granth Sahib ji, not mere keeping truban. no limited to following Five Ks. all these are the the first layer of sikhism
there are three layers that human beeing operates at

1. Body

2. Mind

3. Soul

each layer has its own importance.however sikhism starts from soul. sikhism transforms a human beeing into a healthy body. mind and a AWAKENED SOUL. sikhism takes one from mortality to imortality. from darkness of inorance to light of Bramh Gyan. from false to truth.
having said that whatever we are doing in name of sikhism today is only operating at first layer . and in fact now a days some have disobeyed the first layer as well..what we see today is the polluted or diluted form of Sikhism.
the most important and pivital role here is at the third layer. that is soul. this is the building block of sikhism. ATTMA GYAN.that helps you to
control your weavering MIND. and 5Ks dress up your body.
Attma gyan is the bulding block of sikhism. that is why sikh is some time called as "GYANI". but now a days. Gyan and Gyani are just words in SIkhism now a days.

we read Granth and follow what we like about it. most of our community does not even read GGS ji. they just bow their head and come back home
do what they like. do what they want.
no-one cares what bani says. we to go GuruDwaras when we are in need. when we are in trouble or in pain. and no one is keen to discover the
let us look word SIKHISM. this means beeing follower of a Guru. or Shishya. becouse you can not get attma gyan without a guru
"Bhai re GURU binu Gyan Na hoye. pucchho Bramhe, naarade Vedvyasse koi"

Let me talk a little bit about Attma Gyana. Attma gyan is a process or or technique by which you see. realize the Attma Tattwa. within this body. when
you meet a guru. a satguru a true Saadu, they open your devine eye (dassma Dwar) and you see the devine light withing you. you hear Anhad Naad. you
get the holy nector (amrit) from withing this Body.and you experience the UNSPOKEN Name of lord.

Attma gyan sometimes called as Bramha Gyan is Experience of CHAR PADARTHA within this body.
1. Devine LIght (divya prakash that you see with the devine eye )

"Kaho nanak yeh netra aandh se, Satguru Mileya divya Drishti Hoye"

2. Anhad naad. or Dhurki Baabi

"kahu nanak jis satguru Poora, Baje tis ke Anhad Toora"

"Sahaj gufa main aasan Bandheya, JYOTI SAWROOP, Anhad baajeya
Satgur Moko Har Naam Diviya, ... Suno loka main prem ras paya .."

3. Naam
Naam i am reffering to or sage or masters or incranations of past have talked about is not in words.
bani says "AJJAPA JAAP". that is unspoken Name. you experience that shabad within you

"shabade Dharti Shabade dharti Shabde Sahabd bhaya Pragash"

4. Amrit (holy nector)
in thr upper part of our head. there is a Kamal.when you meet the a true master of time.when you get attma gyan in the deep meditation
with attma gyan the Kamal develpos and from that kamal you get holy nector

"Ulat kamal amtir bahriya. yeh man katuh na jaaye
Ajjapa Jaap na visre. aaad jugad samaye "

how are we gyani or sikh wihout attma gyan ?

My Brothers and sisters we have this oppetrunity to attain Bramha gyan from the ture master of time and take our future in the right direction. Sikhism
starts with beeing sikh and ataining attma gyan

Without Bramha Gyan you can not practice control over mind. and if your mind is not in control you are MANMUKH and NOT GURMUKH

"Mundh mudhaye, jata sir baandhe. maun rahe Abhivamana"
Manva dole. dwesh sataya Bin TATTWA ATMA GYANA "

Like as it is said, one light, many lamps. So in that way Wahiguru Akal Purukh is only one and the highest being, worthy of our love and devtion, who is present in each one of us. As it is said: Aad Sach, Jugad Sach, Hae Bee Sach, Nanak Hosee bee Sach. And as the bani says: Ik Onkar... which means He is only one. So this means, He is the primal being, everything else(creation) is His projection,He is truth so He is everlasting,He is the doer of everything, He is beyond births and deaths, He is fearless and without enemies... all this, is His mahima in the mool mantra. He is beyond the boundaries of, intellect, mind & maya. He is so great that no matter how much you go on praising Him, even then, it will be not more than a mustard seed.

Have we ever thought, how did we ever came to know about Him?

It is all His greatness, by coming to our level in the human form, like all our Gurus, so that we could come to know about our origin, about Him, and to pour all our hearts, minds and bodies with love and devotion at His lotus feet.

This sounds good and somehow similar to what other religions say. But there is a vast difference between sikhi and mostly other religions.
This also we know, not because we are gyanis, but because our Gurus, said that apart from the Highest Akal Purukh, there are some inferior levels of energies or level of consciouseness, which are engaged in the functioning of the creation, like the devis , devtas , angels...etc, to whom the humans worship. This all, is a trap of Kal, to keep going on his triloki creation, by deluding the poor souls in it. So by worshipping these lower entities, one remains in the chaurasee ka chakkar, as these are under the domain of mind, maya and Kal.
Now, here comes the main difference between sikhi and the orthodox or ritualistics religions. This is Nam or Shabad. This Shabad is the true nature of Wahiguru or Satnam, it is this Power, which our Gurus taught us to worship, and nothing else in order to attain salvation by merging our souls in It. Because it is Akal, means beyond the reach of Kal, so at is said : jaisa dhiyaiye taisa hoiyeh, which means as you meditate upon so you become. So through Nam Simran, by meditating upon that Primal Power, we reach there and thus become free. Otherwise, by worshipping any other entity apart from Satnam, at most one reaches Swarg, Baikunth or Heaven. And then when one´s stock of good karmas comes to an end, one falls down ion the creation again. But by worshipping that Primal Being, call it Shabad, Nam or Satnam, Wahiguru or even Akal Purukh, which is an level of highest consciousness or consciouss energy, which is beyond the description of words, it has nothing to do with words. In the begining there were no languages, so that does not mean He did not exist. We are concerned with that power, that energy, that ocean of bliss. Words are different in different languages, but we should be concerned with the essence. What does SATNAM means?
Satnam means, that primal power, which is Nam, is Sat, which means beyond changes, beyond births and deaths, so it is everlasing, it is eternal.

Now we huamans are nobody to understand His hukum, His mauj. It is up to Him, where He appears and when He appears. But the common factor in everytime He comes, is that He will not talk anything to divert or distract our minds, He wil not come with anyting new. He will only give us, the parchar, the mahima, the essence of Nam or Shabad.

And of this we have examples, not many, but some well known by all of us. Like our Gurus, and as in the Guru Granth Sahib also, we have the banis of Kabir Sahib, Guru Ravidas.... others like sant Tukaram, Paltu Sahib...... all of them if we pay attention were not sikhs, were of different parts geographically, in time and in space, but they all had one common factor, they preached the worship of only the one truth Nam or Shabad, we can read their banis or teachings, and see it by ourselves.

Of this Shabad, our bani says:

Shabade dharti Shabade Akash,
Shabade Shabad hoa parkash,
sagli Shrishti Shabad ke paache,
Nanak, Shabad ghate ghat achay

This means: Shabad created the earth, Shabad created the sky, from Shabd cometh all light. The whole world reseth on Shabad. O Nanak, and this Shabd is present in all human beings(everywhere).

And regarding the true meaning of Amrit, Guru Amar Das in Sri Raag says the following words: Amrit Sacha Nam hae, kahina kachhu najai. Pivat hu parvan bhaya poore Shabad samaiye.

Which means: Nectar(Amrit) is the True Name(Nam), but what can we say of it? Whosoever drinketh, he alone knoweth who merges himself completely in the Shabad. We clearly see how our Gurus do not make any distinctions of caste, creed or class. They say whosoever(wadbhagee) drinks the Amrit of Nam within himself,( which Wahiguru has kept inside in eah one of us, in equal amount, for each and every soul) becomes inmortal like Nam itself. So the issue of Sach Khand, is quite clear in the previous words of Guru Sahiban.
And as we have also read : Sach Khand vasay Nirankar, so if we want to reach there, (whosever it may be, black, white, yellow, ...tall , short, poor , rich. east, west, nort or south,...etc), we have to drink the Amrit of Nam(through Nam Simran)

The whole Guru Granth Sahib and the teachings of the Gurmukhs, is nothing, but an elaboration to explain us humans, that which is so simple, but we tend complicate it, and that is :

Ik Onkar, Satnam. He is the only one Lord, and His Nam, is everlasting and changeless truth.

The main purpose of each and every being is to get graduation from this creation and go back home, to Sach Khand.

Just as if a child is registered in a well known school which has the best teachers, and goes there uniformed, with the bag full of books also, plays and eats in the recess....but does not pay any attention to what the teacher teaches, neither does the homework, but is very attentive to other things like, the walls of the school and class with the maps and drawings and the blackboard on them(temples, gurdwaras, churches, etc)... then when he goes to the library, he is fascinated with the great number of books there, but never makes any attempts to see and do what is written in them, then at the end of the day, comes back home and says to his parents: the school is quite spacious, the teachers are very good, I talk to them, and play and do all sort of activities(fastings, pilgrimages, penances, jap, tap, idol worship, etc).....

This is in reality the picture all of us. We have the best school: Sikhism; we are uniformed, proudly dressed like in our traditionally khalsa style, there is nothing wrong or good in doing so, we are born in a certain community, we have to follow the traditions, but keeping in mind and understanding fully, that, that alone is not enough to meet Wahiguru, we play sports (rituals), we have the best teachers: our Gurus, but the thing is, none of us, do what our Gurus have taught us, we have a poor vision, due to maya and avidya or agyanta, plus we have sold ourselves or handed ourselves willingly in the hands of the manmukhs, chosen by us democratically or by the finger, ultimately it makes no difference, and these have mixed the dirty politics with the purity of the teachings of our beloved Gurus, and thus have made us loose all the real essence of their(Bani of the Gurus) teachings, which is nothing than finding shelter at the feet of a Gurmukh of our time, just like when they came also, and asking for the blessing of Gurprasad from them, and do its kamaee of bhakti or sadhna, it is the same thing.

The holy Anand Sahib is a vast extension, of the summary of what is written above:

Anand bhaya meri maee... Satgur toh me paaya------ O my mother, my whole being is in ecstasy, I have found a true Guru, a Gurmukh.

Then what happens, if by good fortune(wadbhagee jeev) one comes across such a Gurmukh?

Well, one gets the Gurprasad of Nam or Saacha Nao.

a)Then what should one do with it, and b) what happens if worked(kamaee, abyaas) out diligently as per the instructions(jugtee)?

a) When one receives the Gurprasad, as the Bani says : Gur Satgur ka jo sikh akhae... amrit wele jaapey sach Nao
b) Then by doing the kamaee of this Nam, Wahiuguru showers us with His unlimited Daya Meher, which works as Amrit for us and washes all our sins, all our sanskaras since we left Sach Khand, making us pure and paviter to be pure like Akal Purukh to be able to merge our souls in Him, and at the same time allows us to have His darshan and hear His true voice(His Shabad), that is why the Bani says:

Nam jiske man vaseh...vajeh Shabad ganere------means, once we become holy by the practice of Nam Simran and His Daya Meher, we shall be able to hear the divine song, the Akath Katha of Akal Purukh, known as Shabad also, because then this Shabad will pervade in each pore of our true self, our true being. That is what the Bani means also when it says: anter jot niranter Bani, which means, once we catch hold to that Nam through Simran, we shall be able to have Darshan of that Jot and hear the Akashi Bani, the Anhad Shabad, of which all true Gurmukhs or Gurus of any time, past or present have mentioned and stressed importance upon, and in the future it will be that also : Satpurush- Shabad and Satguru(these are the signs, which Guru Gobind Singh referred when He left for the heavenly abode of Sach Khand), which one has to look for, in order to know who and what is truth or fake?

We are lucky Wahiguru has placed us in the right environments(human birth), now it is for us, to decide and take the right steps and go back home in Sach Khand, or keep going merry go round in the chaurasee ka chakar.

It would be advisable, if we take the first choice, in it, lies our welfare...none other than Wahiguru Akal Purukh Himself.

Shabad and ony Shabad matters, as the Bani says:

Shabade dharti Shabade Akash,
Shabade Shabad hoa parkash,
sagli Shrishti Shabad ke paache,
Nanak, Shabad ghate ghat achay

This means: Shabad created the earth, Shabad created the sky, from Shabd cometh all light. The whole world reseth on Shabad. O Nanak, and this Shabd is present in all human beings(everywhere).

This Shabad is not a word of any language, is a power, a highest level of consciousness and bliss, which is got only as grace as Gurprasad from a Satguru or a Gurmukh; and that in the Bani is very clear expressed, when it says :

mat koee bhoole sansar...bin Satgur koee na utraas paar

Maybe, many may not like what has been written...that is their problem; but not because of that, the Bani should be adulterated, or manipulated to the tastes of the masses. We shall be doing a great injustice to our Gurus. As they gave all their lives, in letting us knowing the true Bani, as per instructions from Wahiguru Akal Purukh Himself.

May Wahiguru bless us with clear understanding. Because, only to those whom He wishes by casting His glance of mercy, makes them meet the Gurmukh or Satguru of their present living time, in order to get get the Gurprasad, the jugtee, "the bhed", all that is the same as "Saadh kee sangat", so then the sikh, the disciple, does understand the pure paviter Bani of the Gurus in the correct sense or meaning. It is not in the hands of any ordinary man to make us understand the truth in the Bani, except the beloved Gurmukh of Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

The spiritual wealth contained in the Bani of our Gurus, is a treasure beyond measure, any page we may take...any parragraph...only spiritual gems, rubies and diamonds of the highest order are to be found, and from those; related to the above topic, and going a little bit further in it, the following lines are humbly submitted at the holy feet of Wahiguru, and His sangat:

Aapeh Satgur, Aapeh Har, Aapeh mel milaveh. How sweet and full of truth, are these just 7 words. It resumes the essence of spirituality, if we could only pay attention to them, and understand them...our whole attitude and agaynta shall be removed away...just like the Sun makes run away the darkness. And these 7 words translated into English means: My dear, You are the Satguru by yourself, at the same time, You yourself are the Lord "Har" Himself, and thus, when You yourself come in the human form of a Gurmukh, a Sant, a Satguru, through your Gurprasad, you unite our souls with You.

Usually even at all the outer temples, churches or Gurdwaras, we do not go and take Parsad by ourselves...that is not the maryada...there has to be a giver and a taker...even though for the outer Prasad . Similarly, to get the Gurprasad, we need to go and have it from a Pooran Sant Satguru,a real all our Kabir Guru Ravi Das, like Sant Nam Dev.... Tulsi Sahib...Sant Tukaram.... etc ... all of them were true Gurmukhs...all of them were sent by Wahiguru Akal Purukh at different times and places, to go and make the mankind know the secrets about Shabad and Nam...we can read and see by ourselves their teachings...all of them stressed upon Nam...the first and the ultimate truth. But the thing is as long they are present among us in the human form, we more or less walk straightly... but if for some reason Wahiguru, hides Himself for some time His physical form from us, again we start going astray...with all the outer forms of rituals and get lost in idol worship, and then say Wahiguru will not come again in human form... and start a new form of agaynta, with a new polluted dharma....far away from the real teachings of the Gurmukhs.

The Gurmukhs of any time and any place come only with one message, the message of Nam, they do not mix up in politics... it is we humans we forget their real message and try to perpetuate our stay on this earthly plane, by creating communities and start fighting for a piece of land...and manipulating the masses.... and diverting the attention from the truth of Satnam...towards the perishable and unreal maya and its objects.

So that is why from time to time, Satpurush has to come in the human form at our human level, to make us conscious of our real identity, and through the weapon of Nam as Gurprasad, make us free from karmas, rasna bhogs, from countless sanskaras, indriya bhogs, from the mighty mind and Kal....thus making us pure and paviter like that our souls be able and worthy to merge in Wahiguru Akal Purukh, and that is what meant, by God realization. This is a process, which starts by we getting a human form...then if we are wadbhagee, we come in contact with a Sant, a Gurmukh, a Satguru of our has to be so, so that, the action of Gurprasad may take place, between a Sikh a Gurmukh...and once that Amrit is got, through it´s sadhna, it´s kamaee, it´s bhakti... we may board in the Jahaz of Nam...and go back to Sach Khand... into the lap of Satpurush.

My soul dances in ecstasy, with the unparalleled beauty and sweetness of the Bani, and cries in pain of separation then, because, the maker of all these wonderful changes is the Gurmukh...that is why the bani says:

Haun Reh na sakah...Bin dekhe preetama.... Tujh Bin ik gareeh na jeevana....Tujh bin kavan hamara, mere preetam pran adhara.....Mohe rehan na aveh...mohe neend na avaeh, bin dekhe preetama.... dhan so wela jit darshan karna...haun balharee Satgur charna... and much much more.

Wah Wah Wahiguru !!!!

Satgur vich aap varatdaa har aapay rakhanhaar. : Salok Mehlaa 4: Guru Ram Das.
The Lord Himself abides within the True Guru; He Himself is His Protector.

Gurus are many....But the one who has merged Himself in Wahiguru Akal Purukh, is called a Gurmukh, a Satguru. He comes direct from Sach Khand through His command, to give us muktee from this world of pain and sorrow, through the blessing, through His Gurprasad, His bhed, His jugtee of Nam.

That is why it is said in the begining of the Granth Sahib, and in almost each parragraph of each page: Ik Onkar, Satgur Prasad.

So this Gur prasad can only be had, only if there is a Gurmukh, a Sant Satguru.

Why is such importance given to a Satguru? Outwardly He may look like an ordinary person.

Then the question arises, how shall we come to know Him?

Now that, is a question of fate, of being a wadbhagee, marked by the Lord, before coming into this world. So only those wadbhagee will come to believe in Him. He maybe our neighbour, but if we are not meant for that auspicious meeting with a Gurmukh in this life, we shall never believe in Him...we shall go to the extent, that we shall slander Him...saying that, He is going against our dharma...and all sort of blasphemy. Because He praises and does the parchar of Nam and Shabad, He lays importance on Nam bhakti only ....not so much on the outer forms of worships and rituals, of which we are so used to, due to the manmukhs, the they have lost of sight the aim of they also misguide others to the pitfall.

The Bani is very clear, even if there are hundreds of moons and thousands of Suns together up in the Sky, even then without a Satguru....there is utter spiritual darkness, utter spiritual ignorance.

What is the Lord Har? He is an infinite ocean of truth, bliss and consciousness...above all consciousness.... so naturally He comes and abides in, there where is life force consciousness......not in the lifeless and inert objects such as paper, stone, idols, iron, all these things are sure going to decay one day, as they are made of the 5 nashwant elements, such as air, fire, earth, water and ether....while our souls are of the same essence as Parmatma Akal Purukh, that is why our soul can merge in Him, as a drop of water in the ocean, and become one with it.

So as the title of today´s post says: Satgur vich aap varatdaa har aapay rakhanhaar. This means very clearly: In the form of Satguru, the Lord Himself comes and reside.

At other place it is stated: Aapeh SATGUR, Aapeh HAR, aapeh mel milave....You yourself come in the human form as Satguru, and You yoursef, make it possible...our union with You.

As long as there is Sea( Wahiguru Akal Purukh) and seashore(earth)...there will always be waves(Gurmukhs),they can not be stopped.
In the same way, as long there is creation(Bhavsagar).....the inmense Wahiguru shall keep coming here in the form of a wave (a Satguru, a Gurmukh).

Some may wonder, what for?

Well, to collect, those wadbhagee atmas or souls(drops of water on the shore), by first merging them in Himself, and later that wave and drop becoming one with the Ocean or Sea( Wahiguru Akal Purukh).

The drop by itself, can never reach and become one with Ocean, unless that very Ocean, becomes first a Wave, and collects that drop, by wrapping it within itself, and taking it back, to its real form, the Infinite Ocean.

Then something wonderful happens: the drop, the Wave and the Ocean, have become one without distinction.

That is what the Bani says: Anter Jot Niranter Bani, Saachay sahib sioo liv lae. Which means, that Supreme Father Akal Purukh, when manifested through His Shabad form, that of a Satguru, makes it possible for the soul to merge in Him(Satnam). It first attracts the soul to itself, like a magnet to a needle, then with the Shabad, merge in Satpurukh.

That is the maryada and greatness of Akal Purukh. It is nothing else, but His Daya Meher!

P.S: all the Bani, is nothing but utter Mahima of Wahiguru, Shabad and Satguru...all the three are the same thing, but working on different planes, namely: spiritual(Parbraham), mental (Braham) and physical creation.

Sikhism is the real unpolluted teachings of our Gurus, due to their infinite grace and mercy on us, some lines from them are presented at the service of the beloved Sangat of Wahiguru, and for that purpose Asa Di War has been taken today, as it has been repeated several times, that in their Bani throughout, special mention is made to only three things: Satnam(Wahiguru Akal Purukh), Satguru or Gurmukh and Nam or Shabad. And this is clearly seen in the below lines:

nadar karahi jay aapnee taa nadree satgur paa-i-aa.
If the Merciful Lord shows His Mercy, then the True Guru is found. *Not otherwise

ayhu jee-o bahutay janam bharammi-aa taa satgur sabad sunaa-i-aa.
This soul wandered through countless incarnations, until the True Guru instructed it in the Word of the Shabad.
* Here, when Guru Sahiban says:" until the true Guru instructed in the Word of Shabad", means, when only, if we are wadbhagee, we come and meet a perfect true Satguru, then He gives us the Gurprasad of the bhed or jugtee of Nam, then only we can meet and become one with Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

satgur jayvad daataa ko nahee sabh suni-ahu lok sabaa-i-aa.
There is no giver as great as the True Guru; hear this, all you people.
*So beacuse of this Gurprasad is got from a Satguru, He is the highest giver among humans, because He gives us that something of His real essence, which is nothing but Shabad. Just as a trader of jewels, trades with gold, and diamonds; so does a true Gurmukh or Satguru trade with Nam, His wealth is Nam, and He freely distributes it those who come and take refuge at His Lotus feet.

Again in the following lines Guru Sahiban stresses upon the importance and need of a contemporary Gurmukh, for self realization and God realization:

satgur mili-ai sach paa-i-aa jinHee vichahu aap gavaa-i-aa.
Meeting the True Guru, the True Lord is found; He removes self-conceit from within,
*Means, meeting the true Guru, ones agyanta and ego or haume are removed, and once this is achieved, automatically next Wahiguru is realized.

jin sacho sach bujhaa-i-aa.
and instructs us in the Truth of Truths.
*Instructing in the truths of truth means: getting from Him the Gurprasad, the technique, the jugtee, the bhed of unfolding that Nam or Shabad inside ourselves.

This is the wadayee,of a real Gurmukh. That is why it is said in the Bani: even if there were hundreds of moons and thousands of Suns in the Sky, even then without a Satguru, there would be utter(agyanta) darkness for us.

* Please forgive me if anybody is ever hurt of what I write...the thing is many of us since we have been born, have heard and read until today, the same things but interpreted in a different way. So it may sound even strange, but if given time and a deeper thought, and above all His grace, one may understand the message our Gurus want to give us. It is through His infinite grace that this bandha, has come to understand the real depth and meaning of their(Gurmukhs) teachings.

As it is clearly said: Awar kaaj tere kitte na kam, mil, Sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Nam
*Means, in the company of a Sadh, a Gurmukh, we come to know the truth, we get the real understanding....not only that, but even, we come to reunite our souls with Wahiguru, once and forever, from whom we have been separated since eons and have been wandering in the unending cycle of births and deaths.

So Wahiguru created us and sent us to the creation, but only when He came as a Satguru or Gurmukh, and gave us the Amrit of Nam, as Gurprasad, we could merge our souls in Him.
