Dear Admin

Sat Sri Akal. I am really feeling sad about Navjot Sidhu's news regarding the Hawan & Janju. In my opinion Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti (Akal Takhat's Jathedar) should call him at Akal Takhat for clarification for such an act and 'Panj pyare' must punish him for doing all that which Guru Nanak Dev ji refused to accept. Could you please write a letter to Jathedar Vedanti? Thanks.

Regards

I know complaints have already been lodged by the major Sikh organizations. I haven't heard if the Jathedar has done anything about it yet.

Dear brothers,

There is nothing wrong if Navjot Singh siddhu is wearing a janju while participating in a Hawan. Kindly consider when a Non-sikh enters any Gurudwara he/she covers the head, take halwa parsad and eat langar. It does not mean that he/she has violated the laws of his Dharma or adopted sikkhism. Our eye should be on the motive and intention and I donot find any wrong with the motive and intention of Siddhu. Same almighty God is receiving the offering through Hawan to whom we perceive and try to adore while reading Jappuji sahib. I hope this will help.

satsri kal 2 all readers,

this reply is exclusively for niranjan bhai..
bhai g either u dnt knw abt sikhism r u u dnt wanna follow sikhism rituals.. i dnt knw how u dnt see any wrong in navjot singh sidhu's attending hawan N acccepting janeu ... u have given n example of a hindu gng 2 guurdwara n accepting karaah prashaad...but this example is not suitable 4 sidhu coz hes not a hindu...he is a Sikh...and guru granth sahib has clear instructions for sikhs...not worshiping statues, not to follow those rituals which have not a base.
Guru nanak dev ji had rejected all the hindu rituals in his whole life ( which he thinks are not at all necesaary in life n these rituals cant take human near 2 god ) . if u can remember then please remember 2 incidents of Guru nanak dev ji's life
a) when he refused 2 accept janeu and what he replied 2 pandit hardyal ( please remember). he told

" By adoring and praising the Name, honour and a true thread is obtained.
In this way a sacred thread shall be put on, which will not break, and which will be fit for entrance into God's court".

b) when he saw few people in river offering water to sun , he started to offer water to his farms , when he was asked why he is doing so ?
guru ji replied if ur water can reach to sun from here ( which isbillion KM's far from here) , then why not my water reach to my farms which are only few miles
from here ?

so the act of hawan attending by sidhu was against the instructions of guru granth sahib . the smoke of hawan wil not reach to god , but it will get mix up with air.
i hope it will make u aware about few aspects of sikhism..

Hi everyone,

Aman 143 and Opkar, I agree with you that Guru Nanak said all that we should not believe in rituals and other dogmas as they have no importance to the Guru nor does it please him in anyway.

But, here's what I think, Sidhu has the right to practice what he feels like. Guru Nanak do not punish people for not following the rules he laid down. As long as Sidhu does not say anything against the sikh religion, I see no problem in what he's doing. Let him do it, I dont care. People who take waheguru's name and people who do not take waheguru's name is the decision of the Lord. Why do we want to punish someone who's not taking his name.

If waheguru likes him, he himself will make him chant his name.....we are no one to judge anybody. We should keep our faith strong, no matter what rituals or dogmas people follow.

By just wearing a PAGG no one becomes a sikh. A sikh is a person who meditates on my Lord's name, no matter if he's monna or if he's wearing a pagg. And we should'nt judge people as waheguru is present in everyone. But sad part is, only a few realise him by taking his name, while the others waste their time on silly rituals and their are others who quote historians and engage in venefull argruements.
