Bhai Randip Singhji.Vahe Guru ji Ka Khalsa Vahe Guruji ki Fateh.

Please accept my heartiest congratulations on putting up nice & clear thoughts on such an important & contoversial
issue -"to be Veg or Non Veg "I think this closes the discussion on the subject and it should be an eye opener for those
misguided people entrapped in Brahanvad guidelines and rituals.
Guru Bhalla Kareh & God Bless.

What a pity! So much discussions that if sikhs can do this or that. What are we doing? This is how we waste our precious lives, we
just miss our golden oportunity of going or trying to go back to Wahiguru Akal Purukh, rather we spend our lives in this way, in
discussions, in puting down others, on petty matters. we can see it by ourselves, so many come and read the blogs or give their opinions wether right or wrong. But is anybody,or has anybody talked about Wahiguru Himself...We are so much engaged in the "daat", that we have no time for the Daatar, Kul Malik.

This is how we humans are.when our the real work, real job is to please Wahiguru, and find the means to reach and realize Him, but for that nobody is interested and no time, we are all gyanis... we ourselves do not do anything... neither do we really know what He is, what ruhaniyat is... The bani says: saas saas simroh Gobind, this the true job. The fact is, if we all did this, then we had no time for discussions; only time for Him,who is Sach Chit Anand, not for the kaynat, which is fake, transitory and paingiving. If anybody wants to eat meat, let him eat; if anybody does not want to eat meat, it is his choice. In reality nobody should eat meat, but after all, one needs to exercise his own free will, and be responsible for his or her actions.
If one did the real job of the simran of the Lord´s name, then only one would know what is usefull or useless, otherwise all is bak bak, only superficial talking, which leads nowhere. Like for example, one who goes for actually swiming,he only knows what is needed for swiming, further on if he wants to improve, knows also how or what to do to become a champion, meanwhile one who has not seen, forget the sea, but not even a swming pool, has no idea what is needed, unless he himself goes and sees it for himself, Let each one do the bandagee or the simran of Wahiguru and see for himself, how impossible is to step in the ruhaniyat, spirituality, if one does not follow a vegetarian diet. there is no brahman vadi in this statement or belief. The creation is governed by the law of action and reaction. As you sow so shall you reap.

Let us be mature, and talk from a logical point and a possitive approach. As we know the whole creation is made of five elements or tattwas: air, water, fire, earth and ether or akash. All the creatures, living beings make the wheel of eighty four, " chaurasi ka chakar".
The lowest forms of creation in this world is the vegetable kingdom, in which only one element is active, which is water.
The second category is of the insects: in them only 2 elements are active, which are: fire and air.
The 3rd category belongs to the bird kingdom, in them only 3 elements are active: water, fire and air.
The 4th category belongs to the mammals or four legged animals, in them except ether or akash is dormant, the rest 4
are active.
In the 5th category comes the human being, in him all the 5 elements are active, that is what distinguishes him from the rest of the creation, the element akash, gives him the reasoning faculty, known also as "budh" along with intelligence.

Now this was a short and a quick description of the physical creation.
Lets now take the following example to ilustrate the topic being disscused above:
Let us imagine, seeing someone pluking a flower from somebody´s garden, the owner sees him and give him a good scolding.
2nd case, somone kils the dog of this same fellow, the case can be reported to the police and the infractor can be fined.
After some time, somone kills this man´s horse, this time the infractor can be jailed. After sometime again, some dacoit enters this man´s house and kills the house owner, this time the dacoit can be hanged, for his crime. So as we can see, for each infraction there has been a punishment, according to the degree of of the infraction commited. The punishment depends on the degree of the level of conciousness present in that particular form of life, consequently depends on the degree of the tattwas present or active in that form of life.
We can not live in this creation without creating karma; and so, if we have to create karma by force, let us create or collect the least amount of it; that is why it is recomended to live on the vegetarian diet, by doing that, we collect the minnimum karma on our heads. The kiling in this creatin is done on each step and is unavoidable, but by going for a vegetarian diet, killing is done to a lower level of conciosness. It is esaier, to walk wearing a shirt, than to have 100 pounds of weight on our heads. In the same way, anybody who wants to walk on the path of devotion , on the path of ruhaniyat, of spirituality, will by himself see this need to be put into practice, not otherwise. We have millions of people in this world, 99.99 % are not vegetarians , but they are still going. So it is the conscious aim, which makes one decide in this way.

Most hindus think, the cows are sacred, so they do not eat meat of the cow, they are only cheating themselves. Others think monday is a holy day for it is Shiva´s day´, or today is Satya Narayan (full moon) so today we should not eat meat. Poor world, covered by maya and agyanta.
Anything we do, we must see some logic behind it, and not walk blindly, though we may be born in some particular caste, creed or religion.
Wahiguru, as stated by our gurus, is universal, anybody can come and approach Him, He is the universal father: sabna jeea ka iko Daata, so me visar na jae. Which means wether one believes in Him or not, but still He is the only one and true Lord, God. This Wahiguru which we are talking about, is not something physicall, which can be found in some river , village or mountain, neither He is somebody, on whom only a limited portion of people have the right to worship Him, and all else to be thrown away. This Akal Purukh, is a spiritual ocean of love and mercy, and is in the spiritual plane or realm. For that, we have to become subtle as our own true nature, that is naked soul, we are not the body, which is perisahble like the world, but we are souls, the drpos of Satnam samundra, in order to merge in Him, it does not matter as said before, who you are or where you come from, it is the real love and devotion which makes us merge in Him. Just like an aeroplane, takes us to to our destination, it does not ask if you are a black, white, rich, tall or short, poor, sikh, issaee or a hindu...who so ever boards on it , enters, and reach his destination. the only requirement is to have tha passport and the ticket, obviously, here the word passport means His grace, His daya meher & bakshish, and the ticket is our karnee, our bandagee, our bhakti.

That is why it is said: jin prem kiyo ( but prem not with creation but with Creator Akal purukh), tin hee Prabh payo or Sahib ke darbar mein kewal bhakti aur pyar, kewal bhakti aur pyar mein, sahib razee, so simple as that much.

And in this case the plane which anybody can board it, is His ambrosial name, as it is said in the bani: Amrit bani, Har Har teri; Amrit Naam Parmeshwar tera.... This amrit who so ever takes it, independent of his social, political or religious state, becomes inmortal ( means ends his cycle of births and deaths) and merges back in Satnam. This is what is important. Birth, pain, hunger, thirst, happiness, death are common to the mankind, so how can we think, that the lord, Wahiguru, is different for different people or religions, naturally He is one for all, if the sun and moon orthe stars are for whole creation, how can the almighty Satnam, be only for a limited number of people born in a particular land, region or country. Let us expand our broad mindness. Water in differnt languages has differnt words to be expressed, but not because of that it´s nature or essence is changed, anybody who so ever drinks, gets his thirst quenched. The problem is, we want the Lord to act according to our desires, like or dislikes, we are so petty minded, we think he is going to act as a person of my religion or country would do... Shame on us... We have to grow in maturity, elevate our souls and minds upwards, to just understand Him a little bit, His one drop of Darshan for us is enough for we the tiny, microscopic human beings. We are so manipulative, that if it depended on us we would make Him our wishfulling Genius, rather to live in His bhana, we forget that He is, OOCH APAR BEANT SOAMI, and we are: hum mailey, toon oojal karte... tu sada sada bakshanhar, our minds are covered with the filth of our karmas, our ears and eyes are covered by the veils of agyanta, of murakhta, so how can we understand Him? How can we have his darshan, or hear His voice which is reveberating in each one of us the 24 hours, as stated in the Anand Sahib, this Shabad with which is mentioned by Guru Nanik, when He says: Suniye(means to listen the Panch Shabad mentioned in the Anand Sahib), Paap, sabh Dukh nas, and once all sins and dirt is removed by listening to this divine melody, we are attracted to the Lord, like an needle to the magnet, like the chakor to the moon, like the papiya to the rain water, and real understanding, love, faith is bestowed upon us by his daya meher. May Wahiguru bless us all with a correct understnding, so that we may love Him and only love Him, that is all one needs to do.

Bravo Carlos Thank you very much for explaining it without using Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I would have never been able to explain to our friends and brothers and sisters like you have thank you for taking time to write a reply and I am so sorry to mr.gurmeet for hurting his sentiments on his own version and bending of Banni But sorry to say he needs to read and understand the full Banni before he makes his own personal use out of it.. Banni is higher from us illiterate people and should be used to teach us not to make us follow blindly.. Thank you Carlos...

Please please please, do not mention any thanks, all the credit is for Wahiguru Akal Purukh, it is all His wadeeayee, His greatness, we are murakhs, He is the most Chatur syane; because whatever I have mentioned is not made by me, it is from Him, by Him and for Him, only He is, we are nobody, this we should keep in mind always.

He can use anybody as an instument when He thinks fit; you see, not even a leaf can move without His will.

So, if at all one has to do something or express one´s feelings, one has to just love Him more and more, our love and devotion for Him should be so firm and strong, that not even for a second our attention should waver or fall on anything, except Him.

Our relation with Him is personal, and for that alone one has to take care and secure it. It does not matter much if the world or relations are annoyed with us. He is our sole object of our prem and bhakti, and this is what we should care about, that we do not annoy Him. He is present everywhere and particularly conscious in the human beings, so we should take care not to break any heart by thought, speech or action, and make our lives usefull for being kind and usefull to mankind and as much as possible to all creatures.

This all said, is like cleaning the vessel, but then only cleaning the vessel is not usefull if it is not filled with amrit or nectar, and that filling of amrit is done, by His simran, His dhyan, His chintan, His bhakti. May daya meher be on everybody.

How weak we are...how weak are the bases of our foundation...our faith.
Wah, wah, the human beings are the most unfaithfull beings. They think they are more clever than the Lord Wahiguru...they are not steadfast on their resolutions...they give up easily in the moments when common sense, courage and faith are to be used. Just because they want to adjust, according to their thinking at that moment. Poison whether clearly written on a bottle, or whether sugar coated... surely is going to show its colours and kill that person, if one takes it consciously or unconsciouly. So much we talk of Wahiguru, this and that, but at the moment of our so called test, we give up easily. This surely shows our lack of faith in Akal Purukh, our real self is exposed...though Wahiguru knows each and every thought of ours. Just because we see the western world or muslims and nowadays and even long long ago that they eat meat and drink wine, so we think, it is o.k in moments of need. We forget that, one of the names of Wahiguru is Sustainer. That means He will surely take care of us... all this weakness is just mind´s mischief. If one´s faith in Him is solid, He can make bread out of stones for you... it is just question of faith. Have we not heard or read: parbat ko kareh rahee, rahee ko kareh Parbat; surely if He has that much power, and much more, then what is taking care of us. When you were in the mother´s womb, did He not make you reach your feed, then how can we say...in moments of need it is o.k to take meat. Even worst come worst, if one has to give up our life, for the sake of food, that is better than eating something which we usually do not eat out of our convictions. Today´s filling of belly with nonsense means suffering for tomorrow, this we must bear in mind.
It is just like the pigeon hiding his head in the hole, thinking I do not see the cat, so the cat does not see me...ultimately the pigeon is eaten by the cat. In a similar way, we do karmas and as we do not see the fruit of what we have sown, we do not think about it in a correct and clear manner, and then when the time comes to pay for it, we shout and cry, and then we say...Wahiguru relieve me, help me, save me. It is we humans that break the rules, due to our weakness, and so we want Wahiguru to act according to our conduct and behaviour. But no, we can not bribe Him, or cheat Him...SHAME on us...
Brothers, we do not do our simran, our bandagee...so we are weak. If we want real understanding, faith, love and devotion for Him, let us do our real job, of simran of Nam...which is the real Amrit, which will quench all our hunger and thirst... if it can sustain the whole Creation, the whole Universe by itself, surely it can take care of us. With this practice of Nam simran, we come into tune with His Bhana, His Will...then there are no complaints...we see by ourselves everything is divine Will. Not only that, we shall conquer and defeat the mind, which creates and plays all types of mischiefs with our souls.
Let us keep very much the teachings of our Gurus alive in our minds, along with constant Nam Simran(swas swas simroh Gobind), then all our worries, problems, sins, weaknesses shall be disolved, like sand in the water. This is the greatness of Wahiguru Akal Purukh and His Nam.
